Molecular Genetics
Molecular Genetics focuses on analysing the sample at molecular level for its structure and function (DNA/RNA). These molecular techniques also allow diagnosing for specific pathogens (virus), infectious diseases. Qualitative and quantitative testing is performed for blood-borne viruses to monitor treatment efficacy. Real-time PCR (RT-PCR) technology is used to determine the quantitative and qualitative results.
Here we used RT-PCR for molecular tests that include:
